A note from the founder

Hello — I'm Matthew.

I started Keypad & Kin because I kept noticing the same thing: the people I cared about were quietly struggling with their phones and computers, and didn't have anyone patient to turn to. They'd been talked down to by support lines, rushed off calls, or frightened by scams designed to prey on exactly that uncertainty. It didn't sit right with me.

So I built something different — a calm, personal service where there's no such thing as a silly question and no one is ever made to feel behind. I look after the technology in your life the way I'd want someone to look after my own family's: with patience, plain language, and a real concern for keeping you safe. One familiar person you can simply call.

How to know it's really us.

Scammers pretend to be tech support every day — so we work in a way that makes us easy to trust and easy to verify. Here's our promise.

i. We never call out of the blue

Every session is scheduled in advance. If someone calls claiming to be us unexpectedly and asks for access, it isn't us — hang up and call our number directly.

ii. We never ask for passwords or codes

We will never ask you to read out a password, a verification code, or your Apple ID over the phone. Anyone who does is a scammer — full stop.

iii. We never ask for gift cards or payment by phone

Real support is never paid for in gift cards, wire transfers, or urgent payments. Your membership is billed simply and transparently, never under pressure.

One simple rule: if anything ever feels off, pause and call us on our published number. We will always be glad you double-checked — that caution is exactly what keeps you safe.

Is it really safe to let you access my device? +
Yes — and we go out of our way to make it safe. We only connect when you've scheduled a session and are sitting right there with us. You can see everything we do, we explain each step, and you can end the connection at any moment. We never ask for your passwords or codes, and you stay in control the whole time.
What if I'm really not good with technology? +
That's exactly who this is for. There's no such thing as a silly question here. We move at your pace, never use confusing jargon, and are happy to explain something as many times as you need. Many of our clients started out feeling overwhelmed — and now feel at ease.
Which devices do you help with? +
All of your Apple devices — iPhone, iPad, and Mac. We help with everything from messages, photos, and FaceTime to passwords, backups, settings, and security.
Can you help my parent who lives in another city? +
Absolutely. Because everything is done by phone and secure screen-share, distance is no obstacle — we care for clients wherever they are. Many adult children arrange a membership for a parent who lives far away, for real peace of mind.
What does the free first chat involve? +
It's a relaxed, no-pressure conversation — by phone — to get to know you, hear what's been on your mind, and explain how we can help. There's no commitment and no cost. If it feels like a good fit, we'll take it from there at your pace.
Can I cancel whenever I want? +
Of course. There are no contracts and no lock-ins. You can change your membership level or step away at any time, no questions asked.
